WINTER WHEAT BREEDER

YOUR MAIN MISSIONS WILL BE:

Autonomous planning and monitoring of the UK winter wheat program including:

Choosing crosses
Organizing trials and nursery
Organizing quality testing in the winter
Using molecular markers and genomic selection
select the material

Scientific support of research projects with external partners
Working in a European team of wheat breeders

YOUR PROFILE:

Master or doctorate/PhD in plant breeding
minimum 3 years’ experience in breeding
Solid knowledge in breeding methodology
Experience in designing and evaluating field tests, analyzing data sets and handling data bases
You have the ability towork as a team member in an international and multicultural environment
Good communication and organizational skills along with some degree of flexibility are also required to succeed in the position
